This is my absolute most favourite garden in the world and it belongs to my best friend Katie's mother Ruth!

Not at all surprisingly it graces the pages of this month Country Style Magazine.

Ruth started with paddocks surrounding this house and built and designed this stunning oasis.

We have spent many a wonderful time strolling and playing in this garden, also I was lucky enough to have my Hen's day here (yes beautiful and elegant) but my most favourite moment was when we celebrated Katie and Martin's wedding reception in a stunning marquee on the tennis court.

Ruth's garden is to appear in an upcoming book Rural Australian Gardens by Myles Baldwin out very soon! I will be first in line to buy it.

I hear you wondering what the house it like? Absolutely amazing!

We're in Country Collections Again!

Excited to receive this months edition of Australian Country Collections Magazine and to see they have used a picture of our kitchen in their Kitchen Storage Special! I am actually awaiting a quote for some lovely glass fronted cabinets to go in next to the rangehood which I think will finish it off nicely.

Happy Birthday Oliver!

My gorgeous big boy Oliver is turning 5 years old tomorrow!

I can remeber some of the day he was born. I was knocked out with a general anasthetic for his birth by caesarean, but we still have an amazing bond.

We are having our family over for dinner and a cake to celebrate tomorrow night and I have just finished setting up! Still a few more last minute finishing touches to be done tomorrow.

The cupcake wrappers, gift tags, paper cups and plates are all from Kimberlee's beatiful online store Brown Button Trading! Her store is filled with unique and stylish goodies, I could buy the whole shop! This amazing girl also has a day job...............so hard to believe! AND to top it off Kimberlee has fantastic blog Brown Button, pop by and read it if you not already I promise you will not be disappointed!

Local girl Sarah and very clever crafter, made the beautiful Pom Poms for me! Thanks Sarah!

Tomorrow is also a very special day for my friend Brooke. Her darling little girl Nellie was diagnosed with heart disease earlier this year and we are very lucky that she is still with us!

Brooke is hosting a Cuppa For Heart Kids Morning Tea tomorrow morning to raise awareness for childhood Heart Disease. My hubby Paul is running 12kms on the weekend in the City to Bay and raising money for Heartkids and dedicating his run to our little friend Nellie.

This was the first child of a friend that we have ever come close to losing and it has certainly made us appreciate our children and those close to us! I may be a little teary on the finish line!

Have a great weekend!

Some Thankyous!

Firstly a big thankyou to everybody for your positive and encouraging feedback on the launch of my online store and my post on The Shed before and after! Every comment means so much to me.

Also thanks to Trish at A Dreamhouse for Trish, Mimi at At Home with Sam and I, Laura at My Summerhouse and Bec at Life In the Country Lane for their links and mentions of The White Shed and Rachael at A Room for Everyone for her Beautiful Shop THE WHITE SHED post. It is so lovely of you ladies to help spread the word!

My little man Ollie nearly 5 had his first day of school transition yesterday and was very grumpy with me when I picked him up as he 'didn't want to go home yet'. Still so much to learn! When the school bell goes EVERYONE is going home.

Hope you are all having a great week!

I love a Sunday Lunch

On Sunday we had some dear friends over for a very last minute lunch! Aren't these alway the best?

We wipped up some yummy dips and breads, followed by baked snapper and roasted potato with tomatos. Georgie bought a beautiful rocket, pear and fetta salad with her! Dessert was apple tartlets with cream and icecream (no picture too much wine by then).

LOTS of wine was consumed and the lunch finally ended at 10pm.

The weather was absolutely perfect and it was so nice to be outside and to throw open those french doors!
