A Boutique Look

My store has had a little face lift!

If you haven't visited lately please do and let me know what you think.

I was delighted to commission the very talented Shell Sherree to create this beautiful storefront for my online boutique. This is just what my shop would look like if I were to open and bricks and mortar version. You just click on the door and enter my virtual boutique.

I adore this illustration. And I have the beautiful original here ready to frame and hang in my office.

But the changes don't stop there! You may notice some colour, design and layout changes which were implemented by my extremely clever sister Melissa of Crafty Lil Fox - Handcrafted Web Design.

And handcrafted it is! Melissa spent hours working with me on these changes and was extremely patient as we tried different ideas. I especially love the Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Blog tags she created just for me.

Oh and if you love my blog design Mel did that too!

Six Years Ago

Little Ollie rugged up to help us in the garden

The garden is coming along!
SA Life March 2012

Six years ago we moved in to our brand new house.

The building process was somewhat frustrating not helped by the fact that I had a 9 month old baby and another one on the way.

It was all worth it in the end.

I adore our home. I think it fits beautifully with our country family life and has only got better and better with time.

The large garden is still a work in progress and always will be but images like the above remind me of how far we have come.

I am truly grateful for my family, home, friends and lifestyle!

Country Living

The view from our house

The main street

I truly love where we live. I love country life. I love our community. I love our huge group of amazing friends.

I love that the boys can walk to the end of the driveway and catch the school bus and that if they don't make the bus there is someone always looking out for them and wondering where they are.

Recently some family members visited our farm for the first time. We took them on the standard farm tour then in to our little town of Maitland (population 1056) to show them the main street and the boy's school.

As we were driving around the town exclaiming there's such and such, giving them a wave running in to 30 or so people who we knew I saw our life through another persons eyes.

We may not have designer shops but if we need to we can jump in the car and be in Adelaide in just over an hour and a half.

We may not have gourmet restaurants, but by golly there are some amazing cooks in the district and I have been to some wonderful dinner parties over the years.

Yesterday we took the kids to a bonfire with great friends. They all ran around, climbed hay bales, rode their bikes, toasted marshmallows and breathed in the fresh air. That's what country life is about and why I love it so much!

A Little Peek!

Just a little peek at a beautiful complete interior renovation project I am working on for a lovely lady interstate.

Think Cararra marble, subway tiles, chrome tapware, plantation shutter and linen furnishings.

You are quite a curious bunch my blog post about this new project was very well viewed!

Hope you are all having a great week.
