POP UP SHOP!

Delighted to announce our first ever Pop Up Shop! Even more excited that we have been able to 'join forces' with fabulous Rural and Online Fashion Boutique Bramhall & Miles.

We will open on Tuesday the 18th March and plan to run for about a week depending on stock and interest.

THE NOIR RANGE

Apologies for things being a little quiet on the blog front lately.

Life has been relatively busy this term. I have been helping out choreographing a fabulous dance with my sons Year 1 class for their Danceathon this Friday. I have enjoyed this immensely! 

We have a 7 year old who starts off the routine with a back flip whilst two other boys are doing the worm. I can't wait for their performance!

I have also been busy working on compiling the beautiful new cushion range.

I am thrilled with the results. But I just can't decide in my favourite!

Is it any surprise really? Black and White sofas, studded ottoman.............absolute perfection.

Just not sure what you do when it rains? I guess you call the butler and house staff to come and quickly carry it all inside.

Spending the week doing fun things with my little men. 

Movies, playgrounds, visiting friends etc.

Also viewing and ordering some beautiful new stock for the shop.

Can't wait to share the new arrivals with you including some stunning lamps very similar to this.

The shop's new direction is allowing me to develop its own style even more this year.

Yet again you can't beat elegant black and white style!

Hughes Park Cottage

I have just returned from the most wonderful weekend in the Clare Valley one of my absolute favourite regions in the world.

A few months ago I met the gorgeous Alice Duncan of Watervale when she visited my shop on a recommendation from a mutual friend of ours.

Alice is the owner of this beautiful

two bedroom cottage Bed & Breakfast which originates from 1845 and is surrounded by beautiful vines and historic sheep farming country side.

Hughes Park Cottage is located Approximately 100km North of Adelaide, nestled in the Skilly hills, just 2 km’s from the township of Watervale in the beautiful Clare Valley.

When booking my accommodation for our family weekend away I knew Hughes Park Cottage would be perfect for us.  Alice has done a wonderful job of renovating the cottage. The Modern Country feel is stylish,refreshing and light and the surroundings are magnificent!

Beautiful Room

Home Beautiful

Recently one of my best friends in the world had her first baby! A beautiful (understatement) little boy.

This was one of many images I saved and emailed to her throughout the pregnancy.

I just love the shutters, cot, linen chair and soft colours.

We passed on our treasured cot that my two baby boys slept in.

I was a little sad at first but it was so nice to hand it on to such a special little man who means so much to us and will be a big part of our lives.

I'm Back!

Last week my hard drive 'died' apparently it was faulty!

A little annoying when you run an online business.

Thanks to my lovley sister Melissa for her guest post in my absense.

Busy uploading new stock online and catching up on orders but promise to be back with a pretty post later in the week.

Black 100% Linen!

It was a very quick visit, but my sister Melissa of Lulliloo (who is visiting from the UK) managed to bring some of these gorgeous Black 100% linen ruffle cushions that she makes for my shop over so they are now available online!

It is the last day of school holidays and it is raining here. 

Good for the farmers as we can now start seeding, but not so good for my little boys who are going slightly nutty from being stuck inside. Right now they are 'camping' under the dining room table!

My Dining Room

Ok so a few people have asked for me to post a picture of my new dining chairs.

In this photo I only have one on each wall but I now have 2 on each and they look so amazing.

I love the simplicity and formality of the room now!

Anniversary

Carrick Hill

Monday was our 7 year anniversary! 

It bought back all of the beautiful memories of our wedding day. 

I wouldn't change a thing! 

Our reception was at the stunning Carrick Hill.

Oh we look so young .................well we were!

We don't really do presents but always on the hunt for something a little different and with meaning I ordered this beautiful custom print from the lovely Janette at My Sweet Prints.

An Opportunity!

I was recently contacted and given the most awesome opportunity!

 I was totally flattered and applied with out a lot of thought......

Next thing I knew I had made the shortlist and had an upcoming audition.

Details emerged that if I was successful I would have to spend up to 7 weeks away from my family.

This got me thinking. Would I have applied had I not been asked? Probably not! Why would I do it? 

Well certainly not to change my life or further my career (these I am more than happy with). 

I would merely be doing it for the life experience.

I have just turned 31, have 2 beautiful young boys, a gorgeous husband, home, wonderful country life and a business that I love working in every day. I don't need or want the lights, camera and action!

To those of you going ahead with it (which I am sure there are some of you out there), go for it! 

I can't wait to see the show and I will be cheering for you from the comfort of my home on the farm!

Should the opportunity arise again later in life.....I might just be tempted.

Birthday Weekend

Well I have just celebrated the anniversary of my 30th and spoilt I am!!!

Out with my gorgeous hubby to see The Kings Speech, a drink at new bar Grace The Establishment, lunch, then out to an amazing dinner at Assagio Ristaurante, followed by breakfast on Hutt Street with my family!

Poor Kindy Teacher....Tommy looking cheeky with big school boy Ollie!

Then on my actual birthday it was my little Tommy's first day at Kindy, I went to the gym the 42 degree heat, out to lunch with the mums and kids followed by dinner cooked for me at home and a funny looking but delicious cake coooked by Paul and the boys....just lovely!

Oh and I was very spoilt in the present department Chanel Perfume, Tickets to the ballet, Magazine Subscriptions, Champagne, a Beauty Voucher, Chanel Nail Polish and chocolates just to mention a few.

Big thanks to Nanny and Grandad for babysitting and taking the boys to Greenhills Adventure Park.
