A Garden Update

Yet again sorry for the absence.

Those who follow me on Instagram will know I've been busy entertaining my lads at the beach during the school holidays. We have had so much fun!

A few of you have emailed me asking for an update of the garden. So here it is...............

The back garden which I have been focused on keeping alive during the heatwaves here in SA.

Looking out to the front paddock during Harvest

The back garden during spring

Repeat plantings of aggies, lavender, irises and rosemary throughout the garden.

The footy & cricket lawn to the North of the house

The footy lawn 2006

Pierre's from my garden- best year of these yet! :)

Looking towards the formal rose garden

More aggies which are all now yellow and crisp after the 40 degree days.
When frustrated and impatient its good to reflect on where we started.

Enjoying the back garden

The back hedge - 6 years old & finally getting there!
A reminder of the before! Look at those tiny box hedges.

Looking up the driveway. We have since planted Cleveland Pears each side all the way to the road.

The reason for  having these doors. Beautiful afternoons like this one, looking out to the garden.

 Harvey outside the front door.

A few exciting plans for the garden in 2014 including a garden pavilion behind the back lawn.

Look forward to sharing the plans soon.

Wow, such a lot of work! I'm bumbling along without any real plan... I need to sit back and try and look at it with fresh eyes! You've done well keeping everything alive in this awful heat... I had a 12 y.o. oak turn up its toes last week :(

Wow! You have the perfect look for my ideal home! The yard looks so wide and spacious, like the perfect canvass for a master painter. I'm definitely going to bookmark this for inspiration! I agree with the commenter above that your plans may take a lot of work, but I'm sure you'll be able to execute them nicely and come up with wonderful results! Good luck!
